Arrival

There’s a new ET movie out on Netflix called Arrival. It’s a movie that I think is worth watching for several reasons. It’s predictably Hollywoodish and boring. The script is dull and the music is annoying (Tibetan horns ripped off from Kundin). However it does have some pluses in it’s favour. First of all, it tells the story of a non humanoid race (one that looks like walking Octopuses who mated with elephants) that come to Earth. And that’s interesting because there are not many alien films that have wandered away from ugly scary aliens or humanoid aliens. Second, it explores the challenge of how two races who have no obvious common ground, can communicate and build a bridge to overcome their differences, Third, it explores the use of a written language that is very unlike our own. A language that looks like a Zen circle (which coincidentally is very interesting for me because I’ve been doing ink artwork not unlike this for years). Fourth, it seems to be suggesting that a written language can effect conscious and reality itself. Which is something that some real ET written languages can do. Fifth, it accurately demonstrates the military approach to dealing with the unknown and uncontrollable and the way that humans in general, wherever we are on the planet, get stuck in us and them and deal with perceived threats. Sixth, it shows how some ET races to perceive time completely differently to how we perceive time. In other words, how some ET races see time as more than a linear construct. And seventh, it shows how some ET races are able to influence our experience of time and weave knowledge and information in and out of different periods of our life, to influence causality and the unfolding of events. There is a sense towards the end of the film that what you thought was happening, was back to front and that the ETs had given the main character knowledge of the future and that she has had to live with what she knows, despite the difficult things that she has seen that will unfold. That really resonated with me because that’s something that I have had to live with after a number of experiences of being shown the future or taken to the future. Including the death of my sister. Living with what you’ve been shown isn’t easy and can completely and utterly transform how you function ! People say that they’d love to know the future but believe me they wouldn’t. Sometimes it’s torture to know how things are most likely going to turn out !

So anyway, Arrival is an interesting film. It’s boring and badly written. But it’s unconventional in some ways and does things that many other alien films don’t do. It also looks visually stunning at times and has some fantastic visual effects. It may mark the beginning of many more films that deal with the ET subject in a positive and constructive way. Which maybe a great antidote to the propaganda that you will soon see coming out of groups like the To The Stars Academy !

The Eternal River of Understanding (Long Live Man)

Every now and then I like to find out what other people think of ETs and what the current flavour of the month belief seems to be floating around the internet. And much to my dismay, nothing has changed in the last 25 years. People are still divided between believing that there are good ETs, bad ETs and good and bad ETs. Poor old Steven Greer seems to cop it worse than anyone and I’m quite sure I won’t be far behind once I publish a couple of books on the subject. One of the reasons I almost walked away from sharing in 2014 was because of the overt and covert hostility towards me because I insist that ALL space faring ETs are benevolent.

The people who believe in ole good ET vs bad ET thing or that there are hostile, evil, bad ETs (aliens), seem to fit into one or more of several camps. First, they they either haven’t had contact with real ETs. Second, they may have had contact with real ETs but have had limited contact, so they’re stuck in the early phases of understanding what’s happening and relinquishing expectation and control. (Keep in mind that all experiences become more comfortable and familiar to us when we have more of them. My cat Mr Checkers was terrified the first few times I took him outside and now it’s no big deal, even though he prefers the relative safety and comfort of indoors.) (See here for more: https://etandi.wordpress.com/2014/12/21/how-the-perception-of-et-contact-changes-humans/). Third, they’re overly influenced by unresolved trauma and/or grief in their own lives. Fourth, they’re overly influenced by other people’s ideas (other people who in themselves probably have not had genuine ET contact experiences). Fifth, they remain unaware of the shadow aspects (disowned aspects) of their own being and as such project bad and evil over anything they don’t understand. Many people of course fit into all of these camps and have all this stuff happening inside of them, without them having any awareness of it at all.

A friend recently said to me that she was shocked to discover how much anger she had inside of her and I have heard people say that to me on so many occasions (usually during therapy). Chances are that the nicer you are, the less you have owned your own shit, the less you have integrated your own shadow. So fuck you, grow up ! Stop denying that you’re an asshole ! Just joking. But if that pressed a button, it maybe a sign that there is a darkness inside of you or a brightnesss inside of you that you’re hiding from yourself !

The unacknowledged aspects of our being want to be acknowledged and when we deny them, we see them everywhere. That is why we are drawn to partners who are unlike us and in moments of great pain, they are our demons and the worst person in the world. That is why we dream of monsters and aliens and angels and mysterious strangers and in our dreams we say or engage in things that we would never say or do in life. The unowned aspects of you want to be heard and need to be heard. There is a rebel inside of you, a tyrant inside of you, a fucking nasty bastard inside of you, an angry violent rage artist inside of you, an angel inside of you, a peacekeeper inside of you, a writer inside of you, a diplomat inside of you, a carer inside of you, an artist inside of you, a healer inside of you, a pirate inside of you, a clown inside of you, a sex maniac inside of you, a larrikin inside of you, a terrorist inside of you. You name it, it’s there. Sometimes with greater intensity, sometimes with lesser intensity. Your balls are busting with unfulfilled potentiality ! But if you’re not careful you give the ETs your balls and turn them into demonic beasts.

Hostile ET races disintegrate (self destruct). Hostile ET races are not allowed off planet. Period. Hostile ET races would not survive as a space faring race because to be space faring requires cooperation and cooperation requires self reflection and personal responsibility. Hostility, self reflection and personal responsibility cannot be bed friends. Hostile space faring ET races are a human fiction and nothing more !

Depending on how you choose to understand the self, your self and the nature of ETs, your thoughts, ideas and beliefs will lead you in a particular direction down a particular river of understanding. And once you’re there, you’re likely to stay there for good. So choose wisely, how you choose to perceive. For perception can lead to freedom and perception can lead to bondage. Those who believe that we humans are the victims of a massive deception being perpetrated by bad, hostile aliens; have voluntarily placed themselves in bondage. There are no Allies of Humanity, only Allies of Self Awareness. And the ETs who visit our planet, have been travelling down an eternal river of understanding that is clear and pure, since they earned the freedom to become space faring.

We have so much to gain by seeing what is honestly and by looking back honestly at ourselves !

How to Categorise ET Civilisations

I’ve always felt that the well known approaches to categorising ET civilisations are arrogant, naive and myopic. I have my own model which one day I’ll include in my book of essays on Alienology, which goes well beyond the well known models. So why do I think so poorly of models like the Kardashev Scale and Michio Kaku civilisation types ? Essentially it gets down to their limited assessment of a civilisation based on technological development. Assessing an ET civilisation based on their technological development, does a couple of things :

  1. It projects our understanding of reality on the ETs.
  2. It projects our understanding of potential technologies and energy sources on the ETs.
  3. It structures our perception of ETs around technology and ignores spiritual development, social organisation, cultural development etc.

There are so many ways to model, categorise and compare civilisations. Why would we limit ourselves to our own limitations and to one aspect of a civilisation ? I don’t get that ! Nor do I get why we leave such things to scientists ? If we must categorise ET civilisations as we seem to want to do with everything we encounter : sense, perceive, group/class/classify/categorise, judge, react; then surely we can do it collaboratively with the input of people from all kinds of disciplines, who bring with them many different perspectives and aspects for us to assess, evaluate and understand !

And why would we place technological development above spiritual development ? That makes no fucking sense to me ! Except that it’s done by people who have spent so much time with their heads up their arses thinking about science and technology that they’ve forgotten to explore what it means to be alive and to grow as human beings. Spiritual development has to be a critical aspect of any categorisation of ET civilisations ! Making an assessment like this will teach us so much about ourselves, about how we project what we know about ourselves onto ETs and about ET spirituality. We’ll have to decide to abandon the notion of comparative levels and to recognise both difference and similarity for what it is. Not better than or worse than ! If we truly embrace spiritual development as a critical signature of how we might understand an ET civilisation, then we might actually be forced to understand the process of growth, change and evolution (and if evolution even exists !). And we might also be forced to ask hard questions of ourselves, like :

  • How do we want to be as a species ?
  • How do we want to grow as a species ?
  • What are a critical faults, strengths, weaknesses and potentials as a species ?
  • How might we get from here to there in our development  ?
  • What obstacles and challenges must we face and overcome if we are to grow spiritually as a species ?

There are of course many dangers of focusing too much on spiritual development or on emphasising spiritual development out of context. We might for example fall into a Ken Wilbur’ish form of self grandiosity at having seen all possibilities when we have actually seen nothing. Or more likely, we’ll develop spiritual development categories that like the Wilbur models, establish a kind of elitism towards which only certain humans can aspire and through which we can put the ETs in their place ! Any focus on spirituality has to be done through a lens like comparative religion, in which things are seen as they are and not categorised into levels – which ultimately depend on judgement and opinion. Factors which change all the time. For example, temperament and personality are ideas that are always in flux. What is popular today will be dead in a hundred years ! So any ideas that we create about categorising, must be flexible and open to change.

There is so much more we can do with how we look at and approach this entire concept of categorising civilisations. And up to this point, all we have is a handful of stuck up scientists telling us how it should be done and the rest of the human race watching from the sidelines like children at a circus !

If we are to truly develop a discipline like Alienology (and that’s just one possible, albeit lame name for such a discipline – I can’t stand Exopolitics and the like) in order to devote serious time, money, thinking and feeling towards understanding extraterrestrial life; then we must get past this science and technology driven way of approaching the subject !

Ultimately it’s science and technology that created so many of our human problems and that is pushing us towards the exploitation and weaponization of space. But it will be spirituality that helps us to grow enough to be truly ready to become space faring. We humans are kept non space faring because like certain men who think and acts with their dicks, we act with our heads and our technology and not with our hearts and our spirituality. Growing up is about learning to harmonise all aspects of our humanity. Right now it isn’t dick driven scientists and greedy fucking business men and politicians that make contact with ETs ! It’s people who know how to genuinely feel and who have a heart felt connection to the world around them. For whom separation, comparison and competition are irrelevant !

How would you look at an ET civilisation ? And how would you want them to look at us ?

ET Related Books I’m Reading and an Update on My ET Related Books

This post is dedicated to Lisa R. for her recent donation and her ongoing encouragment, Frédéric H. for his encouragement and wonderful insights, Janet G. for her incredible kindness and loving care and Nick M. for his wonderful friendship and brilliaant outlook on life ! It’s people like you that keep ET and I going and make all my efforts worth while !

Hey folks, how’s life ?

I don’t read a lot of ET/UFO/Paranormal related books but in the last 6 months I’ve started reading a small number because I wanted to know what other people are saying about the phenomenon before I start writing my own books on the subject. 5 Books that have grabbed my interest, that I find some value in, include the following :

I don’t agree with some of the content in these books but I think they all have significant enough value to make them worthy additions to any library. I’m not really into reviewing other people’s books because I recognise that writing a book takes a lot of effort and it’s not for me to pass public judgment on a book (unless it’s really shit and I think it’s having way too much negative influence on people’s attitudes!). The only cautionary note I would add is that 3 out of 5 of these books are written by white American’s, so you may end up with a very Americanized version of how things are. That aside, these are all good books for one reason of another ! Most of these books really challenge the preconceptions of how things are and willingly step beyond the typical stories we hear about ETs and UFOs.

My intention with own ET related books is to present a point of view that goes beyond some of these books – not because I’m arrogant who thinks he can do better (I don’t – fiction/poetry is what I’m most comfortable with) but because I feel very strongly about presenting a unique point of view that reflects the ETs and ET contact experience as I have learned about it first hand.

So where am I at ? Well, as many of you know I went through the darkest event of my life earlier in the year and there has been no resolution to that issue. My sister also died a month after that and I’m in the early part of having treatment for my tumours (ten years next month yeah baby !). The plans I had of knocking over 2-3 ET related books in 2017-2018 have been kicked aside, as I put my creative life on hold, trying to deal with this other stuff. Now at last I’m finally back into writing after a 4 month kick in the guts !

My first priority has been to finish a compendium of poetry I’ve been working on for a long time. I have about a month to go on that and have begun work on a second compendium.

The interview with Dude is almost complete and has been put into a book form. Last night I added a second section which will include the Dude Maxims and a range of conversations I have had with Dude on the nature of the self, reality, space, conjoined space/parallel worlds/parallel lives, consciousness and the life force. I was going to add these to a second book but then thought they would make a good addition to ths book. I may yet write a book based on questions I’ve asked Dude. I should have the Dude interview book finished by the end of the year. It take’s so long to sit and transcribe as he and I are talking, then to edit it and then to transcribe the other conversations I recorded on my iPod and edit them. I’m still not sure whether I should include the Jesus question that was asked.

I am also looking at writing a large book of ET related essays (based on many of the articles I’ve posted here). I’m currently compiling articles I’ve written here into a book format – so I can re-write them and add new articles. That book may take 2 years to write (2018-2019 ?).

The ET art book has stalled because it depends on my ex-wife Rachel Bree feeling up to it. She’s had a very hard time this year and is not up to doing the illustrating any time soon. I’m optimistic though, she will be willing to continue working on the project at some point in the next 18 months or so. It’s a really difficult project because I have to sit down and go through all of my experiences, remember as much as I can, sit with her for hours at a time and describe what I’ve seen (ETs and scenarios) and work together on getting the images right. Dude was the one who initially talked her into the project – so he thinks it’s important and she knows that. But she needs to feel up to working on it because it will be a huge endeavour for both of us !  She has however committed to finishing Dude’s image in the next month !

I had wanted to write a book about my ET contact experiences (with 30 plus ET races) later this year but I don’t know if I will have the time. It will be a big book and I need a lot of energy to work on it. Perhaps I’ll be able to start it in 2018.

Once the Dude interview book is completed, I hope to start working on the Anamika interview. I’ll call for more questions before I start and narrow them down to a final selection, as I did with the Dude questions. I’ll try to knock that interview over much quicker if I can. Ill also add a section based on conversations we’ve had.

If I could I’d also like to transcribe some of the monologues and put them into a book form but that’s hard work. I may have to slowly pay someone to do it for me !

Despite all of these intentions, it’s my fiction that is most important to me. I have a book of plays and a musical to type up and edit, a couple of plays to finish, a journal book to typeup and edit and 3 novels I want to complete. My non fiction plays second fiddle to the stuff I really want to write ! And of course everything depends on whether I enroll in the PhD I’ve spoken about next year or the year after and my health stabilizing ! If I’m dead in a year or two, it was all hot air !

So what’s the take away message ! I’m working hard to deliver on the projects I’ve talked about. It’s definetly a good idea to read other people’s books because mine are taking forever and there are some good ET related books out there ! If my health stays good, I’ll be trying to complete the following non fiction projects in the next 5 years :

  • Dude Interview – “An Interview and Conversations with An Extraterrestrial – Part One” (working title).
  • Anamika Interview – “An Interview and Conversations with An Extraterrestrial – Part Two” (working title).
  • “An Interview and Conversations with An Extraterrestrial – Part One & Two” (working title). Both books combined.
  • “Otherworldly Encounters : Contact with Non Human Entities” (working title).
  • The ET Art Project (working title).
  • Essays on Alienology (working title) – need a better word. ETs are not alien when you know who they are !

The ET contact audio will eventually get done ! The thought of doing it annoys the hell out of me ! So think of it as a one day, one day, one day, are we there yet……kinda project. And as promised a million times, it will all be free to those who have supported my work.

Thank you very much for all your ongoing support and encouragement ! If you’d like to support my work, you know how and if you don’t follow the Support the ET and I Project button on the top of the RHS of this page. I need to have a very expensive $1,500 specialist scan soon (to find out if another treatment has any chance of working) that Medicare doesn’t cover, among othere medical and other expenses. So, your donations will make a significant impact on keeping me going !

I’ll post book updates as things progress !

Be well,

Bright. 😉

What GETCRN could be about ?

Today I added a more extensive list of potential research for GETCRN (http://getcrn.ning.com/potential-research-topics/potential-research-subjects) and I think you will be able to see from this list, that we really know so little about the ET contact experience. This really is a new discipline waiting to be born. Whether we call it Alienology or Contactology or something else !

I won’t hide the fact that I am more interested in what our beliefs about ETs says about us, than what it says about the ETs but it’s only through developing greater self awareness and socio-anthropological awareness (I think I just made that up !), that we will begin to truly understand our cosmic visitors. We must look inwards as much as looking outwards ! Both at the same time !

Feel free to let others know about GETCRN or to share your own ideas about the kinds of research we need to do on the ET contact experience.
