TSM8 : A Tour Across Burra Burra (Mountain of the Eagle) with Bright and Toa

Hey folks, I just published the following post and it promptly dissapeared, so here it goes again.

In the following monologue, my son and I take you on a tour across part of the mountain that has been my greatest spiritual teacher these last 20 odd years. It’s a little windy up top, so turn it up or skip the windy parts and Toa lost interest in talking because I was being an annoying dad and he was more interested in texting and singing !

The following selection of images go back a span of about 15 years and are just a few I could find to give you some ideas of what we’re describing. Unfortunately they are not in any particular order, so you’ll have to figure out what’s what and where they fit into the tour. Most are images of Burra Burra but the small mountain in the distance is Burra Wau.

Enjoy !

Bright. 😉

  1. Beautiful pictures Bright 🙂

  2. Oh I loved this interaction and description by both you Bright and Toa! Loved how Toa snatched the opportunity to call you by your first name instead of Dad. Heh, heh heh. No disrespect here. What a cool kid. The area you showed us is just beautiful. Just looking at all the great expansion of land is uplifting. “15 and invincible?” Hmmmm I wonder where he gets THAT from. I love the chariot rock and the star rock. The gum tree was awesome! Burra Burra must have intense energy. Such a shame that not everyone respects the sacredness of the land and wildlife. What an incredibly beautiful place. Thanks for taking us there. I hope you had a great time at the family reunion. 🙂

  3. Hey Bright! I really enjoyed this monologue, especially the interactions between you and your son. You’re lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Hope you’re having a good Mittwoch (Wednesday)!
    Peace 🙂

    • Thanks William. Yeah my son and I have a pretty good relationship – sometimes it’s stinging nettles and fire and sometimes like a hand and a glove !

We no longer live near Burra Burra but I still visit from time to time !

Peace to you ! Bright. 😉

  4. Oh, hey there, Toa :). Thank you both for sharing this journey with us. You could easily record a spoken tour of this region of Australia, and we all would learn quite a bit. Happy belated birthday, and hope everyone is happy and well.
